Financial Requirement
In
order to increase the chance for approval of the application, applicants
of the MM2H Programme should be able to show proof of their strong
financial capability in liquid assets such as personal savings,
investment, salary or pension
Applicants aged below 50 years are required to show proof of liquid
assets worth a minimum of RM500,000 and offshore income of RM10,000 per
month while applicants aged 50 and above may comply with the financial
proof of RM350,000 in liquid assets.
The applicants do not have to open the Fixed
Deposit account until they have managed to get 'Conditional Approval
Letter'. Only upon
receiving the ‘Conditional Approval Letter’
letter from
the Malaysia Immigration Department, successful applicants required to
comply with the following financial criteria:
Applicant Aged Below 50
Years Old

Open a fixed deposit account of RM300,000
Note:
After a period of one year, participants can withdraw up to RM150,000
for approved expenses relating to house purchase, education for children
in Malaysia and medical purposes. Participants must maintain a minimum
balance of RM150,000 from second year onwards and throughout their
stay in Malaysia under this programme.
Applicant Aged Above 50
Years Old
-
Open a fixed deposit account of RM150,000
OR
-
Show proof of monthly off-shore income of
RM10,000 such as pension scheme et cetera.
Note: After a period
of one year, participants can withdraw up to RM50,000 for approved
expenses relating to house purchase, education for children in Malaysia
and medical purposes. Participants must maintain a minimum balance of
RM100,000 from the second year onwards and throughout their stay in
Malaysia under this programme.
*The applicants do not
have to open the Fixed Deposit account until they have managed to get
'Conditional Approval Letter'. In the event participants of the MM2H
Programme decided to terminate their stay in Malaysia, they can withdraw
their fixed deposit at anytime provided they get prior approval from
the Ministry of Tourism.
Medical Report
All
applicants and their dependants (spouse and children) are required to
submit a medical report from any private hospital or registered clinic
in Malaysia.
Medical Insurance
Approved participants and dependants (spouse and children) must possess
a valid medical insurance policy which is applicable in Malaysia.
Restriction
The
MM2H visa holders should not participate in activities that can be
considered as sensitive to the local people such as political activities
and missionary work and other activities deemed a threat to the security
of the country
